Non-Profit Development & Administration Internship

Stimson, a nonpartisan public policy institute committed to finding and promoting practical and innovative solutions to national and international security challenges, seeks an energetic and focused individual.

Stimson offers unique internship opportunities based on the values of education, participation, and hands-on practical knowledge. Based on Stimson's commitment to professional development, expectations for interns are high. In return, interns can expect a challenging environment that will prepare them for full-time employment in a professional setting.

Internships are volunteer experiences only. All internships are unpaid.

The Development and Administration departments at Stimson hope to foster an educational experience that gives insight into nonprofit management practices, development strategy, and the day-to-day work and planning that goes into managing a successful grant program, board engagement, and new fundraising campaigns. The intern will also have the opportunity to interact with all of Stimson's programs. Applicants should have an interest in foreign policy issues and should be highly motivated and sincere in their desire for an internship that is challenging and professional in nature. We aim to give interns access and insight into Stimson's programmatic work, communications efforts, and broad organizational initiatives.
